Hooks and Hops is coming up again at the end of the month! The neat event is located at MacGregor’s Grill & Tap Room 1129 Empire Blvd in Rochester, NY on Thursday March 31st @ 7:00PM. The cost is $10.00 to be paid at the event. Military Veterans get in at no cost. Contact Jay Greenway to RSVP: Jgreenway17@gmail.
This is a fun, casual event to share fly tying, talk about fishing and to sample craft beer (if desired). Cheers to Jay Greenway for organizing an event which brings people together to tie flies and enjoy craft beer. This is meant to be a casual event so anyone is welcome to attend. Bring your vice and tie up a few patterns, or leave the vice at home and come out to enjoy a quality beer and see what everyone else is tying. Even if you don’t tie flies, come out and talk fly fishing for the night.
The Rochester Fly Fishing Community is made up of a lot of great people. We have skilled fly tiers and best of all, many are willing to share knowledge. Hooks and Hops is one more event that helps bring us together to share knowledge and connect around the sport we all love. It’s also great to meet new people that have similar interests.
This year should be a little bit bigger with some food provided and a nicer room set up. The cost is $10.00 which will cover the food and the room. Military Veterans get in for free. Beer will be pay as you go. In addition, there are several raffle items at the event. Again, contact: Jgreenway17@gmail to attend and let’s tie some flies at Hooks and Hops!
